Chanel, the international luxury brand, joins the clean beauty area with new skincare and makeup line called N°1 de CHANEL formulated using sustainability-sourced materials.
The new skincare and makeup line signifies the luxury house’s foray into the clean beauty domain with naturally sourced ingredients and sustainable packaging.
The line comprises anti-aging skincare, makeup, and a fragrance mist. Also, the packaging has been designed to minimize carbon footprint.
The Key Ingredient in Chanel new collection
The main ingredient of the collection is the red camellia, a flower with revitalizing and anti-aging properties. According to Chanel, the red camellia extract prevents cellular senescence, thereby allowing the skin to remain healthy looking for a longer period. Chanel is sourcing camellia from its open-sky laboratory in the town of Gaujacq, France, where it has built an extraordinary botanical site devoted to the camellia that fosters a “reunion” of science and nature. This region’s climate is very distinct: it weathers the same average temperatures as Japan or the South of China, where the Red Camellia first appeared.
The Red Camellia skincare merchandises are Revitalising Serum-in-Mist, Powder-to-Foam Cleanser, Revitalising Lotion, Revitalising Eye Cream, Revitalizing Serum, Revitalising Cream, and L’Eau Rouge Fragrance Mist.
