Two luxury brands come together to create a special bourbon for guests
Daxton Hotel, a modern luxury hotel in Detroit that balances art with an imaginative design, announces a partnership with Heaven Door, a collection of handmade American whiskeys co-created with Bob Dylan, a widely recognized influential and groundbreaking artist.
Heaven’s Door formulated a unique bourbon exclusively available at Daxton, named Heaven’s Door Daxton Single Barrel, using the art-filled hotel as inspiration.
Distilled with a custom Heaven’s Door mash bill and aged for five years, Master Blender Ryan Perry chose this cask-strength single barrel for its concentrated flavors and rich color. Perry asserted that the Daxton Hotel has an intentional vision, and it was an honor to work alongside their amazing team.
He also stated that being a Michigan native, he took great pride in this project. And he refused to select anything but the best, and they landed on a true gem with this barrel selection.
This unique bourbon is imbued with notes of creamed corn, clover honey, and hand-toasted oak, there is also an intrinsic sweetness and strong barrel extraction on both the nose and palate.
These two likeminded brands (Heaven’s Door and Daxton hotel) come together to create a special spirit that can only be enjoyed at the Daxton hotel, where guests are enveloped in a collection of museum-quality art, and where guests can also revel in a night of live jazz music.
The Heaven’s Door Daxton Single Barrel is best enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or with a splash of water.
The Heaven’s Door Daxton Single Barrel is aged for 5 years plus, with a proof of 124.5, and an alcohol content of 62.25%. It smells like toasted caramel, caramel, and toasted oak, and tastes like creamed corn, nutmeg, and green grass.
This custom-made spirit will be available to enjoy at Daxton’s Geode Bar and Lounge, and flagship restaurant Madam.
