Key Features of the new New York Hotel
Located on 48th Street, this 33-story hotel will offer breathtaking views of the New York skyline. Designed by SLCE Architects and INC Architecture & Design, the hotel will feature two full-service restaurants, a rooftop bar, a fitness center, and dedicated spaces for social gatherings. Kimpton Rockefeller Center aims to combine a luxurious boutique ambiance with easy access to famous landmarks like Radio City Music Hall and Central Park.
Financing and Development Background
The project overcame legal hurdles when Extell secured a $220 million loan in 2023. Extell’s vision for this property is to create a top-tier hotel experience with a robust food and beverage program, distinguishing itself in a highly competitive hospitality market.
Kimpton already operates 75 hotels globally, with another 57 in development. The Rockefeller Center location will be Kimpton’s third in Manhattan, joining other properties like Kimpton Hotel Theta and Kimpton Hotel Eventi.
